The Catholic Church v. Dan Brown

The Vatican is finally taking on Dan Brown. The books has been out for a couple of years now, so I'm sure this move will do more for the sale of The Da Vinci Code than to debunk the "theology" in the book.  At best the book is mildly entertaining fiction. At worse it's complete it's making heretics out of little old ladies. Maybe they are concerned because there is a movie in the works.

The book does raise some questions about the role of women in the Catholic Church, but it's just a novel, and should be taken as a work of fiction.
