New Slack Plaza Plantings

The Charleston Gazette reports Slack Plaza will get new trees and roses.
More trees are on tap for the north end of Slack Plaza to replace the park’s original Bradford pear trees that were cut down several weeks ago.

Members of the Municipal Beautification Commission agreed Tuesday to replace the trees after learning Mayor Danny Jones favors the plan, despite the desire of some City Council members to totally redesign the downtown park.
