It's homecoming time in Richwood

Tomorrow I will be traveling to Richwood for the annual Cherry River Festival Grand Feature Parade. Of course the Cherry River Navy will be in town for their annual maneuvers. The Cherry River Navy is the only landlocked navy in the world.

I remember large crowds as a child. Now, like everything else in small town West Virginia, it draws a much smaller crowd.

Small, small world. Sometime over coffee we'll have to compare stories of friends we have (or had) in common.

Definitely...

A good time was had by all. It wasn't too hot. My sister took some pictures. It was the first time I had been in a couple of years.

The crowd was pretty big, but only a handful of Admirals marched. Sadly the Cherry River Navy is dying. I wish they would make more of an effort to get some young guys involved.
