Web 2.0: Is it that bad?

The term 'Web 2.0' has been called overrated, over-hyped, VC-hijacked, irrelevant, misleading, among many others. But we have to ask ourselves -- is it really that bad? And also, if there is no alternative term and nobody steps up to create or brainstorm an alternative term, why do we continue to badmouth it?
