Trouble in River City
Huntington citizens and the city council clash with mayor over a pink bridge.
Felinton argued it is the council that has cast the city in a negative light.
"If anyone says we're a laughing stock, it's because we're sitting here having an emergency meeting about a pink bridge," he said. "If this was in a less affluent community, I question whether we would even be having this meeting."
Felinton also claimed residents who live near the bridge have over-reacted. He said people have called Sansom's employer to complain.
On Monday, Sansom filed a complaint with the Huntington Police Department after he says a man ordered him to stop painting the bridge. The man returned a few minutes later and threw Sansom's bucket of paint into Fourpole Creek, according to the complaint.
The listed suspect in the complaint is John Brunetti II, a citizen member on The Herald-Dispatch's editorial board. Brunetti has not been charged with any crime, but has received a summons to appear in Cabell County Magistrate Court on Nov. 30, according to the Magistrate Clerk's office.
Brunetti declined to comment on the matter Thursday.

I don't get what all the fuss is about. It's kind of a pretty, mellow pink, not a loud, garish pink.
